A 3D old newspaper text effect

This time we create a 3D text that is wrapped with very old newspaper sheets.

Generate this paper text logo by using this online 3D paper text maker. Configure it with these values (leave the other items with default values):
- 3D text style: 5th option;
- Text: Old News (type your own text);
- Font size: Big;
- Margin: 4;
- Background color: C0C0C0;
- Get as a transparent PNG file: unchecked;
- Font name: Makisupa.

Making this way, you get that nice 3D old newspaper text effect (click the image to enlarge):

Extra tips:
- this text logo can be created with an anti-aliased transparent background (select the "Get as a transparent PNG file" item);
- for this effect, don't choose thin or irregular font faces; - I used that back color to reinforce the "old mood", but you can choose the one you prefer. Just remember that very dark colors decrease the 3D look;

TUTORIAL: typography - a text made of text

This one is about teaching you how to get a text made of letters. This kind of effect already helped me sometimes.

You can create it by opening this typographic effect generator and putting these values:
- Text: metatext (set as you need);
- Font size: Very Big;
- Margin: 5;
- Background color: FFFFC0;
- Text color: 000000;
- Font name: Dokyo.

Making this way, you get this result (click to enlarge):

Extra tips:
- I think this effect gets better when applied over thick font faces;
- if you choose a different font size - "Normal" for example -, you can get (relatively) bigger assembling letters;
