TUTORIAL: a realistic metallic text effect

Some users have been asking by email for more metallic text tutorials, so here we go. This one is amazingly shiny and realistic. As a plus, it is a high 3D looking text effect.

First you need to open this metallic text maker, so you can use these values:
- Text: metallic (set the text you want);
- Font size: Normal;
- Margin: 5;
- Background color: FFE0B0;
- Font name: 11S01 Black Tuesday.

If you make as told above, you get this eye catching text effect (click to enlarge):

Extra tips:
- choose a regular, strongly geometric font if you want to test other faces. Usually this kind of font works better with metallic effects;
- since it's an orange metallic text, I chose a pastel orange background, but I'm sure you can get very nice results with many other back colors;
- there is a site with a big amount of professional metallic text effects waiting for you. Everything fast and easy.

TUTORIAL: how to create a stylistic water text

This post is about creating an interesting stylized water text. It could be a little tricky to figure it out by yourself, but following the steps below it's pretty easy.

Let's start by going to this free text effect. There you should use these parameters:
- Text: WATER (you set yours);
- Font size: Big;
- Margin: 5;
- Background color: 004080;
- Font name: McKloud Misty.

We get that text effect (click to view in full size):

Extra tips:
- it was used a crystal text effect, but, with the chosen irregular font, the result can be nicely used as water. For me, each letter looks like made of a group of water drops.
- I thought it would be better to our goals to set a blue background similar to text color, but feel free to try other possibilities;
- by using this set of cool text effects, it's possible to generate many different water or liquid text styles.

TUTORIAL: creating a beautiful 3D holed text effect

Today I tell you how to get a nice, bright, holed, 3D text. It's easy to make and the result can be impressive.

Let's create it by using this 3D text maker. As a suggestion, you can use this configuration:
- Rendering style: select the fourth option image;
- 3D model: select the eighth option image (roll the list);
- Text: Holed (type as you want);
- Font size: Big;
- Text depth: 20;
- Draw shadow: No;
- Margin: 15;
- Background color: 000000;
- Front face color: FF9090;
- Depth dark color: 800040;
- Depth bright color: FFFFFF;
- Font name: Plok.

So we get this nice text (click to enlarge):

Extra tips:
- of course, you just can get this kind of result if you choose a holed font face;
- despite a black background prevents us from drawing the text shadow, I think it's a good choice because it emphasizes the text lateral brightness, what helps to make the final effect more eye catching;
- the 3D text generator we used is very powerful. It can help you to get countless amazing 3D texts instantly.

TUTORIAL: a flaming fire text effect

For a long time people have been asking for a fire text. So we will create one this time. I hope it can be useful for you.

This one can be made by taking advantage of this free effect generator. You just need to adjust its values this way:
- Text: PAPER ON FIRE (choose your text);
- Font size: Big;
- Margin: 6;
- Background color: can't be used, so let the default value;
- Font name: SF Gushing Meadow SC.

The result is like shown below (click to enlarge):

Extra tips:
- always use a big margin value, or the fire flames ca be cut off;
- the smart step here was the font choice. This effect renders a white text on fire, so this font face gives a result that resembles paper on fire when its already being "dissolved" by fire and is losing its parts;
- one of the good things about this effect is that, if one or more letters appear repeated, the fire flames created are not exactly the same. It helps to get a more natural result;
- there are some other fire styles at this text effects list, including blue fire.
